Principal’s Message
Horizon Middle School is a traditional public middle school, rich with culture and traditions that have been in place since the school opened in 1995. Horizon has been a model of excellence in the area of academics, sports, the arts, and parent & community involvement.
Welcome to an exciting new school year! We are thrilled to begin the 2026–2027 journey together, guided by our inspiring theme: “Opening the Vault and Unlocking Our Potential.” This year promises to be filled with discovery, growth, and meaningful milestones as we continue to build on the strong foundation of our school community.
As we reflect on the 2025–2026 school year, we celebrate the incredible progress our students, staff, and families made together. From academic achievements to personal growth, our students demonstrated resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence. Your partnership and support played a vital role in helping every child move forward—and for that, we are deeply grateful.
This year, we invite our entire community to embrace the idea of “Opening the Vault.” Within each student is a wealth of potential—talents, ideas, dreams, and abilities waiting to be discovered. Through engaging learning experiences, strong relationships, and a focus on high expectations, we will work together to help every child unlock what is possible and reach new heights.
A very special highlight of this school year will take place in January 2027, when we open our school’s time capsule (buried in 1997) to celebrate 30 years of history, growth, and tradition. This moment will connect our past to our present, reminding us of how far we’ve come as a school community and inspiring us to imagine the possibilities ahead. We can’t wait to share this meaningful experience with our students and families as we reflect on the legacy we continue to build together.
As we look ahead, we are excited for the opportunities that await; new learning adventures, collaborations, celebrations, and milestones. Together, we will continue to foster a culture of excellence where every student feels confident, capable, and ready to succeed.
