Principal’s Message

Horizon Middle School is a traditional public middle school, rich with culture and traditions that have been in place since the school opened in 1995. Horizon has been a model of excellence in the area of academics, sports, the arts, and parent & community involvement.

As we move through Quarter 2, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible progress our school community has made this year. Thanks to the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community partners, Horizon Middle School has earned a school grade of "B", and we are proudly continuing our journey toward becoming an "A" school.

This accomplishment reflects much more than a letter grade. It represents the hard work taking place every day in our classrooms, the commitment our teachers have to providing high-quality instruction, and the determination our students show as they challenge themselves to grow academically and personally.

This year, we have seen:

• Continued growth in student achievement across all content areas.
• Increased student engagement through rigorous and meaningful learning experiences.
• Strong participation in academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs.
• A positive school culture built on respect, responsibility, and relationships.
• A shared commitment to excellence from our students, staff, and families.

While we are proud of how far we have come, we remain focused on where we are going. Our goal is clear: to become an "A" school by ensuring every student reaches their highest potential. We will continue to use data to guide instruction, provide support where needed, celebrate student success, and maintain high expectations for all.

I am incredibly grateful for the partnership of our families and community. Your support makes a difference and plays a vital role in our students’ success. Together, we are building a culture of achievement that will continue to elevate Horizon Middle School.
