School Advisory Council (SAC):

  • The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a school-based group intended to represent the school, the community, and those persons closest to the students that shares responsibility for supporting the school's continuous improvement.

    The SAC is responsible for the final decision-making at the school relating the the annual implementation of a school improvement plan (SIP). The SAC assists in the annual preparation of both the SIP and the school's annual budget, as well as the evaluation of the SIP. 

    Parent-Teacher Student Organization (PTSO):

    The purpose of the PTSO is to promote the building of the community at Horizon Middle School by:
    - Providing financial assistance to the schools program and infrastructure
  • - Organizing events that bridge connections between our students, parents,and staff
  • - Creating opportunities for parent engagement within Horizon Middle School
